The Frank Veltri Tennis Center is a subdivision of the City of Plantation Parks and Recreation Department. The Frank Veltri Tennis Center & Club located in Plantation Central Park is one of the largest public tennis facilities in South Florida with 26 lighted clay courts and 2 hard courts. The facility has been chosen as the USTA Organization of the Year in 1997 and USTA Facility of the Year in 2007. The Frank Veltri Tennis Center also hosts many large national and international events such as the USTA Men's $10,000 Futures, the Women's $25,000 Challenger, the USTA Girls 14 National Clay Court Championships and many more in partnership with the Plantation Community Tennis Corporation a Florida 501(C)3 Non-Profit Community Tennis Association. In Summer 2010 the Frank Veltri Tennis Center became the home of the Nick Saviano High Performance Tennis Academy. The Saviano High Performance Tennis Academy (SHPT) is a world-class tennis academy that employs cutting edge training methods in a highly focused, personalized tennis-training environment.

Robert E. Cooper, Director of Tennis
Robert Cooper was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Florida in 1973 to pursue a tennis teaching profession. He came to the City of Plantation in 1981 as the City’s first tennis pro and is now the Senior Tennis Professional / Director of Tennis for the city. He was one of the founding member of the Plantation Community Tennis Corporation a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization benefiting the growth of Tennis in Plantation. He has been a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association since 1976. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University.
Lowell Coffman, Assistant Tennis Professional
Lowell Coffman has been with the City of Plantation as the Assistant Tennis Professional at the Frank Veltri Tennis Center for over 20 years. He is the Tournament Director for all USTA sanctioned events hosted at the tennis center. He is member of the Plantation Community Tennis Corporation. He has been a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association since 1990.
Connor Montana, Camp Registration Director & Executive Administrator
Connor Montana is a Florida native, and has been with the Frank Veltri Tennis Center for 6 years. He is the Camp Registration Director & Executive Administrator for the Frank Veltri Tennis Center and Plantation Tennis Pro Shop. He is also the Secretary and Administration Officer and Partnership / Public Relations Chairman for the Plantation Community Tennis Corporation a Florida 501(c)3 Non-Profit based at the Frank Veltri Tennis Center. He previously was on staff with the City of Plantation until 2009 as the Facility / Event Coordinator. He has been a member of the Public Relations Society of America since 2009. He is currently attending the Florida State University for a masters degree in hospitality management.
